
Adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s short story to a quest. While traveling across the Continent, Geralt of Rivia arrives in the northwestern part of Redania, near the town of Blaviken, which he already knew from his previous travels. Little did he know that this visit would make him choose between one evil and another.
A project I made during my „Dziewczyny w grze!” mentoring. The goal was to go through the whole process of creating a quest. The idea was to adapt the short story „The Lesser Evil” by Andrzej Sapkowski into a quest, create a side story to it and implement it in Aurora/Electron Engine (Neverwinter Nights II Toolset). Additionally, I recreated the minor quest Lynch Mob from The Witcher III: Wild Hunt in this module. This served both as a refresher to the toolset and a personal challenge to implement a complete narrative beat in a week.

In this project, I followed the full workflow of creating a quest, from pitching, writing design documents, to implementation. A big part of this process was iterating over the quest based on the feedback given by my mentor.
The main skills I used in this project were:
- quest pitching
- writing quest design documents and iterating over them
- adjusting the prose source material to work better in a video game format
- scripting in C-based NWScript
- writing debug dialogues
- level design
- debugging and testing
